INFECTIOUS DISEASES AND CLINICAL MICROBIOLOGY UNIT
Our clinic has a deep-rooted tradition which started to provide medical training in the Buca Social Insurance Hospital since the late 1960's. In 1996 he moved to Bozyaka settlement. Our clinic started hospital infection control applications in 1997 and became official in 2005. In addition to general infection patients, since 1996, chronic hepatitis patients and HIV patients have been followed in our special branch polyclinic. In 2013 our adult immunization polyclinic has begun to serve with the valuable contributions of Our clinical chief Assoc. Prof. Dr Selma Tosun. Within the scope of this outpatient clinic, we serve health workers, our patients, their relatives, health workers and citizens who are working in our hospital. We also opened our Pregnancy Hepatitis Polyclinic on 1 July 2018 one day a week. Our clinic ward have 16 patient bed. Our clinic provides diagnosis and treatment of all infections mainly skin soft tissue infections, diabetic foot infections, bone joint infections, HIV infections, acute and chronic hepatitis, travel-related infections, central nervous system infections. In addition to these, the Infection Control Committee is being carried out by the team in our clinic and it is responsible for the disinfection sterilization procedures, control of hospital waters, blood transfusion center studies, infectious disease notifications, follow-up surveillance of hospital infections and feedback to related departments, hygiene, rational use of antibiotics and waste management are also carried out by us.
